#YouthMonth ~ Promoting sustainable livelihoods and resilience of young people for a better tomorrow, the call to action.
In line with the theme this year, the SAPS will conduct engagements with internal and external youth as their participation in crime prevention is paramount.
The Minister of Police, General Bheki Cele and the
National Commissioner, General Fannie Masemola will attend the National #YouthCrimePrevention Indaba that is set to take place from 23 until 25 June 2022, at the Olive Conference Centre in Ethekwini, KwaZulu-Natal.
The Indaba aims to empower and support the youth in becoming self-sufficient and help them participate in crime prevention programmes.
During the Youth Crime Prevention Indaba, the South African Police Service (SAPS) management will engage with internal and external youth structures to discuss the state of youth crime prevention in the country, as their participation in crime prevention is important.
The National Youth Crime Prevention Steering Committee (NYCPSC), Junior Management Core (JMC), and National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) will form part of the indaba.
Follow the proceedings on all SAPS
social media platforms.
