KLAPMUTS - Truck overturns, leaving thirty-five injured....
This morning, thirty-five people were injured when the truck they were travelling overturned on the R45 in Klapmuts, Western Cape. ER24 and the Western Cape Metro EMS arrived at 07h30 to find the truck on its side on the side of the road.
The numerous occupants were found seated or walking
along the roadside. Medics assessed the patients and found that one man had serious injuries while thirty-four others had minor to moderate injuries.
Fortunately, no fatalities were found. The patients were treated, and the seriously injured man was provided with advanced life support before being transported to nearby hospitals for further care. The exact details surrounding this incident are unknown, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
