STUDENT TEACHER LEFT CRITICAL AFTER BEING SHOT IN THE HEAD KWAZULU-NATAL | NEWLANDS WEST Just after 8am on Tuesday morning, Emer-G-Med paramedics together with , responded to the scene of a shooting incident at a school in the Newlands West area of Durban.
On arrival on scene a male
believed to be approximately thirty years of age was found lying on the roadway next to a vehicle.
Closer inspection found the man to have sustained a single gunshot wound to the head and he was in a critical condition.
Emergency Care Practitioners worked fervently to stabilize the man before he was transported rapidly by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further definitive care.
The circumstances surrounding the incident and the events preceeding it are unclear and will form the subject of a South African Police Services investigation.
