The Knysna Oyster Festival in the Western Cape will once again attract thousands of visitors to the Garden Route town at the beginning of July.
The event was held virtually for the past couple of years due to the pandemic.
Organisers have now launched the festival programme, which includes old favourites such
as the Knysna Cycle Tour, the Forest Marathon and various other activities.
But one of the main attractions for many visitors will of course be the oysters.
Festival Manager, Andrew Finn, says this year there will be ten oyster hot spots in Knysna and Sedgefield: "What's different from what we had three or four years ago, is we're trying to focus the visitors on visiting all the existing businesses in town, to expand trade with existing traders.
I'm pleased to see that a lot of our traders have come on board and is part of our calendar going forward."
