Two people have been arrested following a robbery in Khayelitsha (on the Cape Flats) following shift action by the Maitland Flying Squad.
Police spokesperson, Ndakhe Gwala, says they had received information about an armed robbery in Lingalethu West and arrested the two armed robbers on their arrival.
An unlicensed firearm, multiple rounds
of ammunition, four hand radios, two bullet proof vests and a set of handcuffs were recovered.
Gwala says they also arrested a suspected drug dealer in Langa :....
"In an unrelated incident , Langa SAPS arrested a 26-year-old male for dealing in drugs in Zone 16, Langa, after he was caught with a Z88 magaziNe, dagga and mandrax with an estimated street value of R9500.00.
He will make his court appearance in the Cape Town Magistrate's court on Monday."
