Suspect arrested This morning at 09:36am, information was shared on the Uitzicht NHW group regarding a suspect trying to break into a residential premises in Monaco Street.
Our Armed Response Officers quickly reacted to the message in an attempt to prevent the suspect from entering the premises.
Upon arrival at the premises,
they were informed that the suspect didn't manage to enter the property and instead decided to run away.
The Response Officers proceeded to investigate the nearby streets where the quick reaction payed off and the suspect was found in Cannes Street.
He was detained and taken back to the original scene where the property owners positively identified him as they were inside the house when he tried to gain entry to the backdoor.
The suspect was handed over to Kraaifontein SAPS for further processing.
