Light aircraft crash - pilot critical
A man has been airlifted following a light-aircraft accident, near the D666 near Dargle, KwaZulu-Natal.
The man, believed to be in his forties, was found entrapped in the aircraft wreckage, by technicians from ER24 and Midlands EMS. The rescue teams worked in unison to free the man from the wreckage, performing a meticulous extrication.
Paramedics provided advanced life support interventions and prepared the patient to be airlifted by the Black Eagle/IPSS aeromedical Helicopter. The critical patient was airlifted to a tertiary medical facility where he remains in a critical condition.
