While operations at Eskom are returning to normal following strike action by its employees, the power utility says the power system remains constrained. The strike action led to service delivery disruptions and load shedding this week. Eskom spokesperson, Dikatso Mothae, says the system is in a better position today than it was yesterday. "The increased demand due to cold weather may put added pressure on the system. We are asking our customers to please assist us by please using electricity efficiently throughout the day, but more especially during the evening peaks from five until nine o clock. We are hoping that things will begin to normalise as we reconvene with the unions in terms of our wage negotiations."
