It is on this basis that Gauteng Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant
General Elias Mawela welcomed the hefty sentence handed down on convicted serial rapist Johannes Nokeri on Friday, 14 January 2022 in the Temba Regional Court.
Sterling investigation by Sergeant Molwantoa Rapakgadi of Gauteng Serial and Electronic Crime Investigations (SECI) unit resulted in Nokeri being sentenced to five life terms and an additional 191-years imprisonment.
Nokeri faced 18 counts of rape, 23 counts of robbery with aggravating circumstances, theft of a motor vehicle and unlawful possession of a firearm and amminition.
Rapakgadi was assisted by Sergeant Refilwe Tladi, both from SECI, a specialised investigation unit within the Gauteng Provincial Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) unit.
