Secretary General for the Good Party Brett Herron says they will consider their position over the next few days regarding what to do in hung councils in the Western Cape.
The province has 16 hung councils and some political parties have started coalition talks.
The Good Party garnered over 4% of the
vote in the province during the local government election.
In a statement, Herron has hit back at critics who believe voting for smaller parties is a wasted vote.
Several smaller parties made inroads during the elections, unseating more established parties.
They could now be kingmakers as coalition talks get underway.
The Good Party are newcomers in the election.
The party secured 9 seats in the City Cape Town council which the DA won overall with a reduced majority.
Herron says they are still deciding whether to form coalitions or provide constructive opposition in the Western Cape.
