Brackenfell, 8 June 2021: Brackenfell SAPS is investigating a case of Attempted Kidnapping after unknown men attempted to grab a 14-year-old girl into their vehicle on Tuesday afternoon.
Her quick and brave reaction foiled their attempt. According to available information the girl was walking home from school at about 15h15.
It is alleged that a blue VW Polo stopped next to her in Paradys Street, Brackenfell. There were three unknown coloured males in the vehicle.
They spoke to her in Afrikaans and asked if she knew where Greenpoint was. She said no.
The front passenger allegedly got out of the Polo and tried to grab the girl, but she was too quick and ran into the opposite direction where she stopped a delivery vehicle for help.
The blue Polo, with unknown registration number, fled the scene.
Call CMAX Security on 021-201-6561 if you see anything suspicious at any of our schools. We will gladly assist.
