A close friend and colleague of Rwandan opposition party member, Seif Bamporiki, who was shot and killed in Cape Town yesterday in an apparent robbery, claims it was an assassination.
Bamporiki was the national coordinator and spokesperson for the Rwandan National Congress.
He was in exile in South Africa and owned a
bed shop on the Cape Flats.
Police say he was delivering a bed in Gugulethu when he was attacked by two suspects.
His companion escaped unharmed.
No arrests have
Dr Etienne Mutabazi is the spokesperson for the Rwandan National Congress: "The feeling is that this was a planned and targeted operation which ended in the death of our colleague.
The person who participated in the killing of Bamporiki has been looking for him since Saturday.
Bamporiki at that time was in Johannesburg.
And yesterday when he arrived at his place of residence the same individual called him.
Apparently Bamporiki knew that person." "https://scontent-jnb1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-0/s526x395/152898434_3984165084969179_2485446210853918040_o.jpg?_nc_cat=101&ccb=3&_nc_sid=110474&_nc_ohc=M0n0AtTFBVkAX-99WzR&_nc_ht=scontent-jnb1-1.xx&tp=7&oh=cb1e4a8a439a38f9f038acf709451174&oe=605A646D"
