Copper thief behind bars The Northern Cape Provincial SAPS Management condemned the damage and theft of essential infrastructure, which continues to cripple the economy of the country.
The stern warning emanates from the arrest of a 47-year-old, subsequent to be found in possession of stolen copper cables at his
house in Galeshewe.
The suspect was arrested on Friday, 22 January 2021.
His arrest was executed after the Frances Task Team operationalised Crime Intelligence inform ation.
Copper weighing 97Kg, to the value of R10 000-00, was found hidden in the backyard of the suspect during the search.
