Nkandla man caught with illegal Firearms to appear in court #GunsOffTheStreets KWAZULU-NATAL - An operation conducted by Nkandla police this morning at 06:00, at Mazambaneni area in Nkandla produced pleasing results when they arrested a 21-year-old suspect.

While the police were busy in the area conducting crime prevention duties, they

received information about a young man in possession of illegal Firearms.

They proceeded to the suspect's homestead and requested to search his room.

During the search, the police recovered two shotguns, investigations revealed that one of the Firearms was stolen in Phoenix in 2004.

The suspect was questioned about the Firearms and ammunition but failed to provide proof of ownership.

He was arrested and charged for possession of unlicensed Firearms and ammunition.

He is expected to appear in the Nkandla Magistrate's Court on Monday, 25 January 2021.
