Police in the Southern Cape are investigating the circumstances surrounding a vehicle which plunged down the Voelklip cliff near Herolds Bay.

Rescue officials are still searching for the body of a 2-year-old girl, while the body of her 34-year-old mother has been recovered.

Her 8-year-old brother managed to escape from the vehicle.
