The City of Cape Town says it will strengthen measures to stop incidents of electrical cable theft in areas around the city.
Law enforcement officers have discovered some tools believed to be used in cable theft next to a cemetery along the Voortrekker Road.
Metro police have found a spade, a garden
fork, a heavy steel rod and an axe in the bush.
They later found personal belongings and refreshmetns.
The police believe that they have managed to disrupt one of the cable thieve operatons.
