16/01/2021 Brackenfell Motorcyclists lost her leg in motor vehicle collision.
At approximately 20:50 Titanium Securitas Medical Response received a call regarding a serious accident close to the corner of Brackenfell Boulevard and De Bron .
Our Rapid Response vehicle as well as our Ambulance were in the
near by area.
On arrival our medical team found 1 vehicle as well as 1 motorcyclist on scene.
The motorcyclist was found on scene with critical injuries, her leg was amputated on impact.
Rapid intervention was done on scene to assure that the motorcyclist had a chance to survive despite the severity of her injuries.
She was transported to a nearby hospital for urgent care.
Its believed that the driver of the light motor vehicle drove in the opposite direction when it collided with the motorcyclist.
The driver of the light motor vehicle flee the scene prior to the arrival of Emergency Services as well as the authorities.
The South African police services were on scene to conduct a full investigation into the matter.
