A senior delegation of the Muslim Judicial Council has met with representatives of the Muslim Cemetery Board regarding the situation at the Mowbray cemetery in Cape Town.
There's been outrage after a video was widely shared on social media showing a group of men paying five hundred rand to gain
after-hours access to the cemetery to perform a burial.
MJC's Second Deputy President, Shaikh Riad Fataar, says some of the issues discussed were around their compassion in dealing with the public, the closure times, the penalty fee and visitation times.
Fataar says the board will convene another meeting at the weekend to discuss the matter further."https://scontent-jnb1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t15.5256-10/135568827_408701623676551_7339984604193966405_n.jpg?_nc_cat=107&ccb=2&_nc_sid=f2c4d5&_nc_ohc=BBwLVZ5N4kwAX_X5KFY&_nc_ht=scontent-jnb1-1.xx&oh=b75eaff19b463e28f5fb1f1a52abd7e4&oe=6027CF67"
