WC police recover several Firearms, drugs and a stolen vehicle in weekend operations #PoliceVisibilty WESTERN CAPE - As part of crime prevention operations targeting weekends, several seizures were made with a number of arrests effected over the weekend.

Crime prevention unit members from Cloetesville in the Cape Winelands on patrol

spotted two men in Primrose Street on Friday evening and stopped them.

The pair fled upon seeing the police.

They were pursued and searched.

In t heir possession police found two 9mm Firearms with serial numbers filed off, a home-made firearm and ammunition.

The suspects aged 26 and 28 were subsequently arrested on charges of illegal possession of Firearms and ammunition.

They will appear in court on Monday.

Elsies River crime prevention unit followed information about drug dealing on Friday in Leonsdale where they arrested a 53-year-old suspect with 154 parcels of dagga weighing 23,5 kg.
