Police management perplexed over two horrific incidents of domestic violence #EndGBV The police management in Mpumalanga have learned with shock about two domestic violence incidents which occurred in Carolina during the week .
In the early hours of yesterday, Friday 27 November 2020, a mother and her two sons were
shot and killed whilst her daughter is fighting for her life in hospital after being shot as well.
The husband was also found dead with a firearm next to his body.
The horrific incident is believed to have been fuelled by domestic violence.
Meanwhile in another domestic violence related incident, a mother and her two kids aged 05 and 07 years respectively were reportedly torched by her 35-year-old husband at Nkanini township also in Carolina.
This terrible incident occurred on Tuesday, 24 November 2020.
According to the information at police disposal, the man allegedly locked his wife and kids in their shack house.
He then poured petrol and set the shack alight.
Due to the raging flames, the man
also got burnt.
The three victims were rescued by their neighbors after crying out in anguish and were then taken to hospital for medical treatment.
The police were notified about the incident and three counts of attempted murder case was opened.
The man was arrested and is currently under police guard where he is expected to appear in court soon.
