The DA has appointed Siviwe Gwarube as its new national spokesperson following a decision taken at this week's meeting of the Federal Executive.
She succeeds Solly Malatsi who remains a DA MP.
Gwarube previously served as the party's Head of Ministry for the Western Cape Minister of Health, after which she was
appointed the DA's Executive Director of Communications.
More recently she was the DA spokesperson on the Covid-19 response.
In addition to her duties as national spokesperson, Gwarube will continue to serve on the DA's shadow cabinet as Shadow Minister of Health.
She will also serve as a co-opted member on the party's Federal Executive.
