The DA's Standing Committee of Transport and Public Works in the Western Cape says recent attacks on Golden Arrow buses have resulted in a loss of nearly 29 million rand.
The Western Cape Government subsidizes the bus operations.
The committee has revealed that 200 buses are stoned per month; that between
6 to 8 armed robberies take place per week; and buses are fired at and depots petrol bombed.
