SANParks have arrested 13 suspected poachers at the Table Mountain National Park in the past week.
The TMNP Park Manager, Frans van Rooyen, says different groups of poachers were arrested on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, in the Kommetjie, Hout Bay and Platboom area.
Abalone and west coast rock lobster was confiscated from
the suspects, together with diving gear.
He says the arrests were made during joint operations between rangers, City of Cape Town Law Enforcement officials and the SAPS.
All suspects have been handed over to the SAPS for further investigation and will be appearing in court in due course.
