Fire crews are expected to work throughout the night on the scene of the mountain fire behind UCT.

Parks staff, Working on Fire and the Volunteer Wildfire Services.
At this stage the fire is not yet under control.
Aerial firefighting support will resume at first light.
A second firefighter has been taken to hospital after sustaining injuries.
Thus far, buildings affected include a section of the restaurant at Rhodes Memorial, Mostert Mill and two thatched roof dwellings near Woolsack Drive, along with the HM Pearson, Fuller and Jagger Library buildings.
